"Present," Oil on Canvas, 18x18 in. What a labor of love this painting was! This image and a few others of the model have been rattling around in my brain for some time. I am glad that I was able to bring this one to fruition. The model inspired me in this reference because of her presence, her command of the space. She grabs one's attention as she does when you meet her. She is present to be counted, present and fully engaged with the viewer and seems to say, Hear me, don't discount me. Reference Photo: My own
